At the second annual Dallas Youth Improv Festival, March 27-29, young performers can laugh, learn, and connect at Stomping Ground Comedy. The weekend will feature comedy shows by local youth improv teams, a jam for all skill levels, and opportunities for young people to meet other young comedians.
The 4:30 pm show features two Stomping Ground Youth Improv House Teams- Definitely Not Lizard People and No Repeats.
Are you looking for a comedy show featuring ordinary, warm-blooded, oxygen-breathing middle schoolers? Then you’ve come to the right place. Definitely Not Lizard People is a troupe of young performers who are definitely not reptilian humanoids in clever disguises. It’s high-energy improv from the funniest 12-to-14-year-olds on the planet (this planet, specifically). Definitely Not Lizard People features Lorelai McLeod, Nadine DeBerardinis, Beatrix Wezwick, Hank White, Maxton Walter, August Goldapp, Hudson Kahle, and Maeve Stern. They are coached by Sarah Worsham.
In a world of reboots and sequels, No Repeats is here to give you the one thing you can’t find on a streaming service: a moment that will never happen again. This troupe of high schoolers lives life on the edge of the “delete” button, delivering a fast-paced improv experience where every joke, character, and questionable accent is a limited-time offer. No Repeats features Kane McLeod, Rowan Pruitt, Evangelynn Attel, Ellah Clemons, Grayson McFerrin-Hogan, Ali Blanco, Dotty Rico, and Reese Elder. They are coached by Whitney Peters.
