Go Pro! Improv: Acting Skills for Improvisers Edition

December 19, 2021 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Learn to Improvise Like a Professional in this Weekly Workout!

As the Winter months approach, Go Pro! is digging into the acting skills that separate the amateurs from the true performers. Students will learn how to use the skills that professional actors take for granted, to be seen and heard on stage, to make strong choices in staging and movement, and to really act their scenes. Each week, this drop-in workshop will focus on a specific acting skill and how it applies to improvised scene work. Students may sign up for each class ala carte or pay for a monthly pass at a discounted rate. This class is recommended for students with some improv experience, as well as new performers who want to develop their acting skills.

This Week’s Topic is:

  • Improvisation Skills for Actors

This drop-in, in-person workshop is Sunday, December 19th from 5:30-7:30pm. The instructor is Cory J. Phillips. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment can be deferred to a future session. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older. Stomping Ground Comedy Theater follows current CDC guidelines for masks, PPE, and social distancing policies. You can find our up-to-date policies and FAQs here.
