Level Six Improv: Advanced Long Forms

Learn how to work as a team to create an engaging and captivating show!

The capstone of the improv program at Stomping Ground Comedy Theater, students will build upon the knowledge and skills from previous levels as they do a deep dive on a specific improv format and the skills needed to perform it in a month-long run of shows on the SG mainstage. This course will also help students identify their improv habits and provide them personal challenges to break those habits. The prerequisite for this course is Level Five Improv at Stomping Ground or approval from the Training Center Director.

This course focuses on:

  • Expanding Characters in La Ronde
  • Using Entrances & Exits in Monoscene
  • Creating Connecting Worlds in Close Quarters
  • Additional Advanced Formats
  • Individual Feedback for Performers
  • Rehearsing and Performing the Show

This is a 7 week recurring in-person course held Mondays, 7-9:30PM CST starting Monday, September 12th. The instructor is Cory J. Phillips. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment can be deferred to a future class. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
