Join us at Stomping Ground this Fall for the annual SG Throwdown! Watch as local improv teams go head-to-head and battle it out to crown an all-around improv champion. Two improv teams compete each night and the audience will crown the ultimate winner; so come support your favorite teams!

IMPROPERA!

Impropera! takes the dramatic, high-stakes world of Italian opera and brings it to the comedy stage! Witness the magic of an improvised opera in fake Italian before your very eyes, while we translate the highs and lows of the story for you. Impropera! features Andrew Holden, Hayden McGovern, Ianne Warshawsky, and Milo Wilder.

PANDORA’S PLAYGROUND

Perseus Pandora, the genius mind behind the traveling Pandora’s Playground, is in town! He gives stage time to local improvisors, but to be in Perseus’ show, they must play his games. This isn’t your average show with the games you see on Whose Line is it Anyway; this is a show with fully customized short-form challenges that will push these improvisors to their limit! Pandora’s Playground features Christi Arthur, Hughes Cowart, Jasmine Stehsel, Nan Kirkpatrick, Peyton Reed, Robert Patton, Siobhan Gee, and Will Holston. Hosted by Tyler Vornberg.

UNDERSTUDIES COMEDY

Understudies performs a quick paced comedy show using short form improv games to generate the content of branded television show segments. Understudies features Elisabeth Sloan, Mike Burns, Stephen Eyre, Richie Lunsford, Moses Forge, and Brandon Enriquez.

BLANK PAGE

Blank Page throws scripted theater and improv into the same stage. We just hope everyone can survive… Inspired by the game Actor’s Nightmare, the show features actors performing from famous scripts while improvisers build the rest of the world around them in real time. Blank Page features Ianne Warshawsky, Emily Davenport, Zachary Cantrell, and Steven Martin.

THE GLASS HOUSES PODCAST RECORDED LIVE IN THE BURNETT, TEXAS BASEMENT FELLOWSHIP HALL

Grab a plate and pull up a metal folding chair for a special live recording of the Glass Houses podcast, recorded in the basement Fellowship Hall in Burnett, Texas. Join hosts Darlene, T, Norma Jean, and Pam as they dive into this week’s burning topics, interview special guests, and discuss who needs a prayer request. It’s an evening of community, technical difficulties, and unscripted revelations. Note: Please stay quiet in the hallway; the AA meeting is happening in the next room.

With a simple suggestion from the audience, Can We Have a Prime Time Slot? will find a thematic core to explore in three distinct sets of scenes. Enjoy the chaos of the third act as all the stories collide. Featuring Andrew Kennedy, Andy Missel, Brady Dubose, Chris Eisterhold, Jasmine Stehsel, John Gerhart, Justin Wayne, Kate Nickels, Melanie Robinson, Sahara Khan, and Tyler Vornberg.

CAMELOT

Camelot brings improvised fairy tales set in a medieval kingdom to life. Throughout the show, the characters deal with a problem suggested by the audience and try to find their happily ever after. Camelot features Beau McAfee, Cameron Carter, Esther Garcia, Trace Killian, Marcus Ozai, and Melanie Robinson.

Rated M for Mature. Ticket prices are $10 (plus fees) in advance and $14 at the door. Stomping Ground is BYOB. Alcoholic beverages are allowed for all attendees over 21 years old; patrons are asked to enjoy them responsibly.
