Stomping Ground Throwdown: Head to Head Improv Battles

Join us at Stomping Ground this Fall for the annual SG Throwdown! Watch as local improv teams go head to head and battle it out to crown an all-around improv champion. Two improv teams compete each night and the audience will crown the ultimate winner; so come support your favorite improvisers!

It’s Karaoke Night, and you’re invited! What’s YOUR song? Let us know before the show and we’ll pick a few to spoof! What’s the tea? Feel like you’re people watching in your favorite cozy bar in our slice-of-life monoscene…. while the DJ artlessly interrupts them with cast-created original musical numbers. Feeling brave? We might just invite one special guest from the audience to join us! Karaoke Night features Steve Childers, Matt Flanagan, Joshua Franklin, Aaron Hall, Andrew Holden, Sahara Khan, Kelly Kaufman, Kate Nickels, Jay Stehsel, and Joey Wilkerson with Musical Direction by Josh Diamond.

Welcome to The Lounge, where the drinks are imaginary but the vibes are immaculate. With two pianists and two lounge singers, this fully improvised show blends music, character, and cool into one unforgettable night. The Lounge features Milo Michelle Wilder, Iannë Warshawsky, Hayden McGovern, and Andrew Missel.

• September 5 at 7:30 pm: August 22 Wild Card Winner vs The Canadian Mid-Life Missel Crisis

ROUND 2:

• September 6 at 7:30 pm: August 23 Round 1 Winner vs August 29 Winner
• September 12 at 7:30 pm: August 30 Round 1 Winner vs September 5 Winner

FINAL:

September 13 at 7:30 pm: September 6 Winner vs September 12 Winner

Rated M for Mature. Ticket prices are $10 (plus fees) in advance and $14 at the door. Stomping Ground is BYOB. Alcoholic beverages are allowed for all attendees over 21 years old; patrons are asked to enjoy them responsibly.
