Stomping Ground Throwdown: Head to Head Improv Battles

Join us at Stomping Ground this Fall for the annual SG Throwdown! Watch as local improv teams go head to head and battle it out to crown an all-around improv champion. Two improv teams compete each night and the audience will crown the ultimate winner; so come support your favorite improvisers!

The August 22 bout is between GLADYS! and I’m Not Attached To It.

More About the Teams:

Everything happens to GLADYS! With the help of the audience, a member of our troupe will deliver a short monologue based on their suggestion. We then pull details from the monologue with each scene transitioning to the next with a “meanwhile”. GLADYS! features James Drew Lipowicz, Mike Lucas, Sarah Wyatt, Abi Hrbacek, Ethan Cowart, Gabo Espinoza, and Paco Giurfa.

I’m Not Attached to It discovers exciting and strange new worlds pulled from the ether by audience suggestions, only to have them wiped away with the flick of a switch by the gods of chaos that are the tech booth operators. I’m Not Attached To It features Brandon Enriquez, Will Holston, Coral Davis, and Ianne Warshawsky.

• August 30 at 7:30 pm: Bag of Dad vs Manic Pixie Dream Show
• September 5 at 7:30 pm: August 22 Wild Card Winner vs The Canadian Mid-Life Missel Crisis

ROUND 2:

• September 6 at 7:30 pm: August 23 Round 1 Winner vs August 29 Winner
• September 12 at 7:30 pm: August 30 Round 1 Winner vs September 5 Winner

FINAL:

September 13 at 7:30 pm: September 6 Winner vs September 12 Winner

Rated M for Mature. Ticket prices are $10 (plus fees) in advance and $14 at the door. Stomping Ground is BYOB. Alcoholic beverages are allowed for all attendees over 21 years old; patrons are asked to enjoy them responsibly.
