On Thursday, April 20th, Dallas-area comedians will be challenged to step outside their comfort zones and be put on the spot as they vie to win the Tirade Tournament and the title of “Dallas Rant Champion.”
At this qualifying event, comedians will draw a random topic given by audience members as they enter, and be challenged to rant about that topic on-the-spot, with zero preparation time. Before ranting, they must spin the “Wheel of Emotion” and use that emotion to inform their rant.
Participants will be scored by judges and audience applause. The top 8 comedians will move on to compete for the title of “Dallas Rant Champion” at Dallas’s first-ever Tirade Tournament on Saturday, April 22nd.

Comedians wishing to compete in the Tirade Tournament Qualifying Event should CLICK HERE TO SIGN-UP. Limited spaces are available, and the spots are given on a first-come, first-serve basis. In order to sign-up, you MUST BE AVAILABLE to perform at the Tirade Tournament on 4/22 at 10:30 pm at Stomping Ground if you are selected to advance.
About the Host:
The Tirade Tournament was conceived and is hosted by nationally touring comedian Jamie Campbell. Jamie has spent the past fifteen years bringing laughter to audiences across the United States. His debut stand-up album, Tell Me You’re Proud of Me, debuted at #1 on the Amazon comedy charts. He is currently in the midst of touring his award-winning solo show, Big Dad Energy, across the nation before it is released as an upcoming streaming special.
You may recognize Jamie from his appearances on NBC’s Chicago Fire, the Pop Network’s Hollywood Darlings, his recent super bowl ad alongside Kristin Chenoweth, or a series of music videos by hip-hop legend Tech N9ne.
Ticket prices are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Rated M for Mature/18+. Stomping Ground is BYOB.

Stomping Ground follows current CDC recommendations regarding mask-wearing. Social distancing should be practiced and you’re encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Alcoholic beverages are allowed for all attendees over 21 years old; patrons are asked to enjoy them responsibly.
