Triple Threat Comedy Intensive Ages 14-17
About This Event
In the Triple Threat Comedy Intensive, students will build their comedy toolbelt (and future SNL audition) with stand-up, original characters, and unscripted theater.
They will master the fundamentals of “Yes, And” to build spontaneous scenes, while also learning the craft of joke structure to turn personal observations and premises into polished jokes. Students will dive deep into character creation, using physicality and unique points of view to inhabit hilarious new personas that pop off the stage and screen. This intensive is rooted in a supportive “writer’s room” environment that is common on the comedy world, where writers help each other punch up premises and share laughs. Students will develop the stage presence needed to command a room and the comedic foundation needed to pursue that “comedy content creator” dream.
And it all culminates in a performance for friends and family on Friday.
Limited Diversity & Accessibility Scholarships are available for Summer Camps. Please fill out the application to be considered.
Fine Print: The Triple Threat Comedy Camp will be held 10 am to 4 pm July 13-17. It is for students ages 14-17. Campers should bring a sack lunch and water bottle. Campers must adhere to camp expectations and behavioral standards.
