Level Two Improv: Fundamentals of Improvised Scenes

In this seven week students will learn to create scenes using object work, agreement, and specific dialogue to create a grounded base reality for their scenes. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of long form scene work with a focus on solid two person scenes. This class includes a student showcase. The prerequisite for this class is Level One Improv at Stomping Ground or the equivalent course work.

This course will focus on:

  • Creating a Base Reality (Who, What, Where)
  • Object Work & Creating an Environment
  • Jumping & Justifying & the why of the scene
  • Relationships, Dynamics & Behavior
  • Finding & Heightening the Game of the Scene
  • Showcase Form – The Armando: Creating Scenes inspired by a Truth Based Monologue

All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment can be deferred to a future term. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll, unless otherwise stated.
