This intensive weekend course will introduce students to sketch comedy starting with commercials and character monologues. Students will learn the basics of comedy writing and then use them to generate funny scenarios and interesting characters from scratch. On Sunday, students will revise and refine their material with feedback while learning how to put their work on stage, culminating in a showcase of monologues and scenes on Sunday night at 8pm. There is no prerequisite for this course. Students must have access to a laptop computer for the weekend in order to participate.

All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment can be deferred to a future term. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll, unless otherwise stated.
All class times are Central Standard Time (CST).
Masks are strongly recommended for students who are not fully vaccinated as per current CDC guidelines. Classrooms and common areas will be sanitized prior to each class.
