Every great actor improvises, but the reverse is not always true. In this class we will borrow techniques and exercises from the scripted acting world to smash them together with improv structures from the work of Keith Johnstone. We will use Meisner’s Repetition, Stanislavsky’s Fast Food, and a Cupholder original improvising with famous pieces of recognizable plays. You’ll come away a better listener, with heavier stage presence, and a slightly better understanding of what happens in that fleeting moment between you and your scene partner before it’s too late.
