Please note: At least one year of improv experience and completion of Level Five Improv at Stomping Ground is required to take this course. Students who have completed equivalent training at another improv theater must contact the Training Center Director at education@stompinggroundcomedy.org for permission.
Who says you can’t rehearse improv? In this one day intensive workshop, students will learn the skills they need to effectively guide rehearsals and practices with improv troupes and shows, structuring rehearsals with clear goals that meet the needs of your team. In this hands-on course, students will gain practice leading exercises, providing clear and constructive feedback in notes and useful side coaching, creating deliberately designed lessons that build upon the strengths of your group and target areas of improvement. This intensive workshop is for students with at least one year of training and performance experience in improv and is a prerequisite for anyone wanting to coach or teach at Stomping Ground Comedy Theater. The workshop is Pay What You Can by donation.

This is a one-day workshop held Saturday, August 26th from 9am-5pm. The instructor is Greg Mihalik. This is a Pay What You Can event. All sales are final. Price of class does not include Eventbrite’s service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
