Stomping Ground presents its Independent Pop-Up Workshop Series! This Pay What You Can series is intended to build community and give students a chance to add new tools to their tool belts for an affordable price. It also allows instructors from a wide range of backgrounds to share their unique skill sets with the community.
All proceeds go towards the Stomping Ground Diversity & Accessibility Scholarship Program, which helps students gain access to high-quality comedy training at the Stomping Ground Comedy Training Center.
Learn and practice techniques for rhyming more effectively and effortlessly in improvised musicals! In this energizing musical workshop led by veteran musical improviser, Daniel Shimek, musical improvisers will learn and practice new tools to help them to improvise lyrics with more depth and control. Prerequisites: Some musical improv experience is preferred.

About Daniel
Daniel Shimek is a musical improviser and piano accompanist at Stomping Ground Theater with a decade of experience in long-form, short-form, and musical improv. A veteran of South Florida improv theaters, including Doghouse Theater, Improv U, and Villain Theater, Daniel is currently a member of the musical house team KEVIN! and the creator and director of SideScroll – The Improvised RPG, both flagship Stomping Ground shows.
This is a one-time workshop held on Sunday, July 16 from 6-8 pm and taught by Daniel Shimek. All sales are final and classes are non-refundable. Training is not affiliated with the Stomping Ground Comedy Training Center. All participants must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Comedy Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll, unless otherwise stated. All class times are Central Standard Time (CST).
