The artform of clowning has a rich tradition which has existed for centuries and with many variations! Studying clowning can enrich a comedian’s performance and add a whole new vocabulary and skill set to their comedic toolbelt! In this seven week class, students will learn the fundamentals of clown. Students will explore ways to interact and use their environment as a clown and how to interact and engage with their audience. This class may include a showcase, depending on student interest. There is no prerequisite for the class, but experience in improvisation, stand up, or theater is preferred.

This is an in-person, five week class on Mondays from 7-9:30pm starting on January 6th. The instructor is Stephanie Bell. All sales are final. Listed price of class does not include Eventbrite’s service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment may be deferred to a future class with TCD approval. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
