Level Two Improv: Fundamentals of Improvised Scenes *In-Person Class*

Learn how to improvise engaging two person scenes!

In this seven week, in-person course, students will learn to create scenes using object work, agreement, and using specific dialogue to create a grounded base reality for their scenes. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of long form scene work with a focus on solid two person scenes. This class includes a student showcase. The prerequisite for this class is Level 1 at Stomping Ground or the equivalent course work in another training center.

This course will focus on:

  • Creating a Base Reality (Who, What, Where)
  • Object Work & Creating an Environment
  • Strategies for Initiating Meaningful Scenes
  • Jumping & Justifying & the why of the scene
  • Showcase Form – The Armando: Creating Scenes inspired by a Truth Based Monologue

This is a 7-week recurring in-person course held Tuesdays, 7-9pm CST starting Tuesday, July 13th. The instructor is Greg Mihalik. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment can be deferred to a future class. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older. Masks are strongly recommended for students who are not fully vaccinated. Classrooms and common areas will be sanitized prior to each class.
