Spring is here, and Stomping Ground is rolling out a brand new workshop series to help you spring forward as an improviser and performer!
Each week, one of our instructors will dig into a topic or skill of their choosing! Students will refresh their improvisational toolbelt and add new tools to make their scenes both memorable and engaging for an audience. This class is recommended for students with some improv experience. The prerequisite for these workshops is Level Three Improv at Stomping Ground or the equivalent at another training center with permission from the Training Center Director.
This week’s topic is A Deep Dive on the Fundamentals
Let’s reconnect with what improv is all about and the soft skills we need to be successful and joyful on stage! This week’s Spring Forward drop-in class will focus on going Back to the Basics–spontaneity, being in the moment, listening, playfulness, and support just to name a few–covered in an Intro to Improv class, but through the eyes of more experienced students and performers. Students will engage in exercises and games exploring these fundamentals with the intention of bringing them into their performances and life.
This one session drop-in class is held Sunday, March 9th from 6-8:30pm The instructor is Whitney Peters. Price of class does not include Eventbrite’s service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
