Musical Improv Level Three: Performing the Show!

In this capstone level of the Musical Improv program, students will build upon the knowledge and skills from previous levels as they do a deep dive on a specific Musical Improv format and the skills needed to perform it in a month-long run of shows on the SG mainstage.  This course will also help students identify their improv habits and provide them personal challenges to break those habits.This class will culminate in a run of shows on the Stomping Ground stage.  The prerequisite for this class is Musical Improv Levels One and Two or equivalent training and permission from the Training Center Director.

This class will focus on:

  • Telling stories that matter to the audience
  • Working together as an ensemble 
  • Finding the fun and what matters in scenes and formats
  • Identifying individual habits and challenges for performers
