Stomping Ground is proud to present Irregular Nonsense, an improv team born out of nonPareil Institute and our Improv for Life Program. The clever, out of the box stylings of Trenton Lundgren, Trevor Poynor, Jake Raybon, Kevin Sharp, Isaac Pinkus, Rivka Notelovitz, and Bryan Kersey will leave you laughing and inspired. This show is interactive for those who wish to participate and sensory friendly.

On August 3, ATX improv takes over Stomping Ground with a double bill of Y'all We Asian and Sugar Water Purple.
"Austin's first marginalized improv troupe", Sugar Water Purple promises to make you "laugh in the face of soul-crushing oppression." Austin Chronicle describes them as a group that provides "meaningful support" for one another while making "damn good improv." Sugar Water Purple features Austin improvisers Kenah Benefield, Devon Coleman, Chris Villafano, Ryan Darbonne, Symply Courtney, and Irielle Wesley.
The evening also features special guest Y'all We Asian, the first and only all Asian-American improv team in Austin. Y'all We Asian features celebrated Austin improvisers Yola Lu, Virgil Shelby, G-Su Paek, and more. Y'all We Asian received the 2019 Ethel Hinkley Award for Outstanding New Improv Troupe from the B . Iden Payne Theatre Awards Council, an honor received by Sugar Water Purple the year prior. Both teams promise a night of improv you won't want to miss.

Stomping Ground's monthly stand up comedy show featuring local favorites and touring comics. August 3 features local favorites Ruth Banks, Jack Freeman, Shahyan Jahani, and headliner from Austin Symply Courtney. The August show is also hosted by Emily Grefer and boasts surprise guests and newcomer Mark Eaglesham.
