I?n this improvised send-up of 1949s noir films the audience will meet a hard-boiled Private Detective who’s about to embark on the case of his life. His quest to solve the mystery will lead him into a shadowy world in which criminals and clients can blur in this gritty, stylized melodrama.
J?oin us for an evening of shadowy figures, rain, and vice along with cliche characters lifted from the screenplays of the Noir genre. The Femme Fatale, tougher-than-nails Henchman, and the hard-nosed Villain who has this city in his clutches are just a few you’ll meet along the way in this gritty improvised movie. Navigate the booze, smoke, and darkness as you watch the Private Detective attempt to restore peace in this broken city.
Dicks & Dames features students from the Advanced Narrative Improv Class: Justin Wayne, Stephanie Bell, Peter Van Nuys, Ashwin Vidiyala, Kimber Martin, Shenelle Peart, Christopher Smyth, and Mike Christian. Instructor is Lindsay Goldapp.
This show is rated T for Teen (Parental Discretion Advised. Ticket Prices are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Stomping Ground is BYOB.
