Level Two Improv Intensive: Fundamentals of Improvised Scenes

Spend the weekend at Stomping Ground learning to create improvised scenes that matter! Students will learn to create scenes using object work, agreement, and using specific dialogue to create a grounded base reality for their scenes. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of long form scene work with a focus on solid two person scenes. This class includes a student showcase. The prerequisite for this class is Level 1 at Stomping Ground or completion of another improv training program.
This Weekend Intensive will focus on:
- Creating a Base Reality (Who, What, Where)
- Creating & Maintaining an Environment on Stage
- Strategies of Initiation
- Emotional Jumping & Justifying
- Truth in Comedy & The Armando
This is a two day weekend intensive on Saturday, July 9th from 10am-5pm and Sunday, July 10th from 10am-5pm with a showcase on July 10th at 8pm. The instructor is Andrew Wermelskirchen. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment can be deferred to a future class. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook.
