Sketch Level One: Introduction to Sketch Comedy Writing

This seven week course will introduce students to sketch comedy starting with character monologues. Students will learn the basics of comedy writing and then use them to generate funny scenarios and interesting characters from scratch. On Sunday, students will revise and refine their material with feedback while learning how to put their work on stage, culminating in a showcase of monologues and scenes on Sunday night at 8pm. There is no prerequisite for this course.

- Generating & pitching funny ideas
- Script structure
- Character Monologues
- Acting Basics & Staging
This is a recurring class for seven weeks on Saturdays from 1-3:30pm starting Saturday, September 10th. The instructor is Kristal Milazzo. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment can be deferred to a future class. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older. Masks are strongly recommended for students who are not fully vaccinated. Classrooms and common areas will be sanitized prior to each class.
